■ Background to the Alliance
With the spread of COVID-19, companies across Japan are facing grave conditions, regardless of their size or industry. The Japanese government and local governments have implemented a range of aid measures to help companies overcome these difficult times, but these have caused some confusion among medium, small, and venture companies, with issues such as being unable to contact the contact person, or being unclear about eligibility criteria.

SoldOut’s new alliance partner, Writeup, is developing an IT business to revitalize small and medium-sized companies, with the target of “helping all small and medium-sized companies in Japan turn a profit.” The J-Engine service provided by Writeup assists companies to select appropriate subsidies from among the 3,000 types of public assistance schemes (grants and subsidies) implemented by the Japanese government and local governments every year, and to secure appropriate funding. J-Engine has already assisted a cumulative total of 8,500 companies in Japan to apply for subsidies totaling more than 12 billion yen. In addition, it has implemented initiatives to deliver up-to-date information to medium, small, and venture companies around Japan, including establishing a free telephone inquiries service for the employment adjustment subsidy introduced in response to present social conditions, and holding online seminars on subsidy systems.
* Writeup’s subsidy matching schemes comply with all relevant laws and regulations.

Through its business alliance with Writeup, SoldOut will provide support to make it easier for customers to utilize national and local government assistance schemes, and partner with the management of medium, small, and venture companies to help them overcome these difficult conditions.

■ Services Provided
1. Guidance regarding the employment adjustment subsidy
The employment adjustment subsidy supplements personnel expenses (employee leave payments) arising when the employees are furloughed due to the impact of COVID-19. 2. Automatic subsidies and grants matching system
We provide a system to automatically match users with subsidies and grants. The system is also compatible with COVID-19 subsidies and grants.

3. Webinars related to grants and subsidies
