Atsushi Nouchi, a representative director of OPT group company OPT Ventures, Inc., has been appointed an outside director of Space Market, Inc. (CEO: Daisuke Shigematsu), the company that operates Space Market, a unique and simple-to-use net-based marketplace for renting space.


[Background to appointment]

 
Based on a new law governing the residential rental business that is due to be enacted in June, Space Market has plans to become actively involved in the accommodation business as well as to further strengthen its management infrastructure and develop its business in the rapidly growing field of IT-based space sharing.
Atsushi Nouchi, meanwhile, is an OPT Ventures director who previously worked at Mori Building. With a depth of knowledge and extensive contacts within the IT and real estate industries, he has been involved in starting a number of real estate businesses since his appointment as an OPT director. His appointment as an outside director of Space Market, Inc. is a recognition of his ability to support the activities of that company’s management by drawing on his experience with stock market listing preparations gained as part of the management team at OPT Holding.

Masanobu Sasaki, CFO & HR Manager
Born in 1980 in Tottori Prefecture
During his 20s he had near sole responsibility for the management of a listed real estate company. This was followed by the operational management of a lifestyle services company both before and after its IPO.
Since 2014 he has been involved in arranging finance for early stage IT venture businesses and various aspects of corporate management, including HR.

Vice President and Group COO
Appointed COO for the entire company in 2006 and was subsequently involved in the establishment and operation of a series of strategic subsidiaries.
He has had a supervisory role with responsibility for the investment advice business since 2013 where he has achieved significant results, providing the companies invested in with management guidance and support for business model development.

He currently also serves as a representative director of OPT Ventures, Inc
