OPT, Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President & CEO: Daisuke Kanazawa; hereinafter “OPT”), an Innovation Agency leading the digital shift, has launched “OPT Instagram Creative Lab,” a creative content production program specialized for Instagram under the supervision of Facebook Japan K.K., with the aim of accelerating corporate marketing activities.

 

Instagram continues to expand to serve a broad range of users, with 33 million monthly active accounts (as of March 2019). The platform is notable for its support of diverse expression, not only glamorous or picture-perfect photo posts, but also its popular, casual posts such as Instagram Stories. For advertising to be well received by users, it is therefore necessary to optimize communication by using creative content adapted to the characteristics of the platform.

 

The launch of “OPT Instagram Creative Lab” in collaboration with Facebook Japan, enables corporate advertising sponsors to produce creative content optimized for Instagram in half a day, together with OPT's creative staff, who are experts in the specific characteristics of the Instagram platform. The program aims for creative content production that closely reflects Instagram users, with a creator team composed primarily of women in their 20s, who tend to be the heaviest users of the platform. In addition, because corporate advertising sponsors are able to convey their content requirements to the team face-to-face, it is possible to expedite production of creative advertising content that more closely matches sponsors’ needs.

 

Furthermore, the program enables visualization of advertising effect through a comparison of advertisement recall, recognition, and positivity of response between users who have been exposed to the advertisement and those who have not. It thus facilitates the proposal of optimal advertising operations on Instagram, taking into account not only indicators such as cost per click (CPC) and cost per action (CPA), but also branding indicators.

 

OPT will continue to strengthen its collaboration with Facebook Japan, produce creative content adapted to the unique characteristics of Instagram, and strive to enhance the effectiveness of corporate advertising.
