The Okinawa Coral Office and Okinawa Coral Creative Office of OPT, Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President & CEO: Daisuke Kanazawa; hereinafter “OPT”) have been certified as an “Okinawa Prefecture Human Resource Development Company.”

The Okinawa Prefecture Human Resource Development Company Certification System is a system for certifying companies that excel in human resource development that motivates employees and provides opportunities to improve skills and build careers. The goal of the system is to encourage companies to take pro-active measures for human resource development and ”improve the quality of employment.”

The criteria for certification include the company having at least 10 employees and a turnover rate lower than the industry average, as well clearing a majority of 15 evaluation items in 5 fields related to motivation as set by Okinawa Prefecture. In addition to the examination of documents, employee questionnaires and manager interviews are used to assess conditions at the company.

OPT’s Okinawa Coral Office and Okinawa Coral Creative Office that were certified under this system were highly rated for their systemization of skill development and their training system for new employees. Examples include the series of activities performed by managers and all employees as a project to formulate a new “Vision,” “Ism,” and “Value” for the company, and the creation of a foundation for a corporate culture where diverse human resources can work together according to these values. (A total of 38 companies have been certified.)

The OPT Okinawa Coral Office was founded in 2012 in order to help revitalize the local community by creating employment and other opportunities in Okinawa. The Okinawa Coral Creative Office opened in July 2018 due to the growth in digital creative human resources, expanding OPT’s base in Okinawa.

OPT has worked hard to provide a good working environment to accommodate this growth in employees, and was also certified as an “Okinawa Prefecture Work-Life Balance Company”in November 2018.
