As our society becomes more digitalized at an accelerating rate, a shortage of human resources with digital skills has become a serious issue in many industries. When combined with other social background including the aging population, declining birthrate and maturing industries, companies need to urgently revise their old ways of thinking and operating, and radically change their own business portfolios. In this context, an issue facing Japanese society as a whole is how to develop human resources who can pro-actively identify social problems and issues, and then start solving them immediately, and human resources who can take on the challenge of creating new value.

OPT sees itself as an “Innovation Agency,” and as such has been working toward achieving its ideals of “Independence” and “Taking on Challenges” through recruitment activities such as a Career Academy for recruits who will graduate in 2020.

The “Friendly Recruiting” project will be introduced to enable the President & CEO Daisuke Kanazawa to directly talk with applicants to find human resources who are attuned to the corporate philosophy. Unlike an ordinary recruitment flow, President Kanazawa will meet with applicants as soon as they are selected, enabling early matching between the individuals and OPT.

OPT sees “failure” as being a “valuable opportunity to foster growth and spark innovation,” and it is hoped that these activities will help find human resources who have continued to take on new challenges even after failure. OPT’s goal is to become a company that inspires innovation around the world, working together with friends to realize its vision of “Moving into a future shared with customers.”
