Established: 2017; 16 pages (color), published every month
Planning/publishing company: OPT Holding, Inc.
Distributed to: OPT Group employees; 1,800 copies
This newsletter was established in order to make each employee aware that they are an OPT Group employee; to promote mutual understanding between employees from different Group companies; and to create synergies within the Group. The main theme of the newsletter is “Challenge,” a value that has been important for the OPT Group ever since its founding. The newsletter focuses on topics that will instill forever in employees the mission of “We are a group of people who take on the challenge of creating new value,” which OPT has cherished since its founding. Each month, three or four people or teams who are taking on a challenge are selected across the Group companies to appear in the newsletter. Interviews and other reporting are used to describe their challenges and follow their story until the challenges are overcome. A web version of the newsletter is also released at the same time on the company intranet. Content such as videos of the interviews brings the content to life and sparks the interest of the viewers. This hybrid format combines the strengths of both media to maximize the newsletter’s effectiveness.

Established: 2015; 28 pages (color), published every year
Planning/publishing company: OPT, Inc.
Distributed to: Families of OPT employees; 1,000 copies
The purpose of this newsletter is to describe the company’s current situation and atmosphere to the families of employees. This builds a relationship of trust between the company and the family that helps family members support the work of employees. Recognizing the importance of employees’ wellbeing has been part of OPT’s business since its establishment.
OPT believes there are five foundations that are essential to achieving wellbeing: (1) Fulfillment at work; (2) Economic security; (3) A stable home; (4) Aspirations for the future; and (5) Good health. The third foundation of a stable home is important because the understanding and support of family is essential for employees to work with peace of mind. It was for this reason that the newsletter was established, to act as a contact point between the company and family.
