OPT, Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President & CEO: Daisuke Kanazawa; hereinafter “OPT”) is collaborating with a group company, SIGNATE Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shigeru Saito; hereinafter “SIGNATE”) (*1) to strengthen its marketing support system that utilizes data science. To conduct this collaboration, OPT formed a “Data Intelligence Team” at Opt Technologies (*2) to work on research and development for data analysis and advertising operations utilizing AI.

In recent years, there has been great progress toward the utilization of AI and big data on both a corporate and national level, and the importance of data science in the marketing industry will continue to grow. In OPT’s digital marketing support for companies as well, the need for marketing that utilizes data science such as AI is growing.

The strengthening of the system for data science utilization in this project will bring together OPT’s digital marketing knowledge and SIGNATE’s data science knowledge to develop more effective analysis methods for digital marketing, and drive forward research and development for advertising operations for issues such as advertising effect optimization and budget management.

In the future, OPT will continue to propose useful data science utilization for corporate marketing.

SIGNATE was founded as a part of the OPT Group in April 2018 in order to address human resource shortages caused by the growth of the data science market and help expand the utilization of AI and big data in Japan.

*2 About Opt Technologies

An engineer group established within OPT in 2016. This group is mainly responsible for the research and development and business promotion of various products related to advertising technologies, such as the new version of ADPLAN. Opt Technologies is also involved in a wide range of general activities related to science and technology, including the organization of the “Ichigaya Geek★Night” event aimed at engineers.
