Leader Development Program

The DIGITAL HOLDINGS Group has implemented a Group Executive Program comprising ability development, appointment, evaluation, and compensation functions, with the aim of developing the next generation of senior management and personnel to lead business transformation.
Each year, around 20 candidates are carefully selected from among the employees to take part in a range of programs aimed at strengthening the mindset formation and business development skills of the next generation of leaders. Candidates grow significantly by applying the knowledge and skills they have learned in the course of their daily duties.

Leader Development Program
Proactive Learning Camp

The Proactive Learning Camp classes are held once or twice each month for young employees expected to form the core of the DIGITAL HOLDINGS Group in the future, with the aim of expanding their horizons as businesspeople, and raising their perspectives. This original program has been created with the cooperation of the consultant Katsuhiro Okamura, who also lectures at institutions such as the Graduate School of Management, GLOBIS University. Around 70% of the employees who have completed the training have become corporate officers or executives. Training is conducted over one year, with attendees learning about leadership, marketing, finance, etc. during the first half, and case studies in the second half.

Awards Programs

Ever since it was founded, the DIGITAL HOLDINGS Group has nurtured a culture that celebrates the activities of employees.
Awards are presented at various forums, including the MVP announced at each company each half year, and quarterly awards in each domain.
The selection criteria are not limited to the achievement of personal targets, but also include contribution to the company (organization) in the context of its philosophy and vision, and multi-faceted evaluation by colleagues.

Awards Programs
Monthly Interview Program

DIGITAL HOLDINGS emphasizes the importance of frequent reviews of targets and feedback between supervisors and subordinates, in order to promote the growth of every employee.
Specifically, employees participate in monthly interviews with their line managers to manage goals and review strengths and challenges from a long-term perspective.

Remote Work Program

This program enables employees to work from locations other than the company office, for the purpose of enhancing productivity.
At present, DIGITAL HOLDINGS only permits employees to work from home, but is considering giving them more options.

Remote Work Program
Continuous Service Leave (Refreshment Leave)

Under this program, employees are entitled to ten consecutive business days’ leave and a special allowance of ¥30,000, in addition to regular paid leave, for each three years of continuous service.
This is also referred to internally as “refreshment leave,” and is used by many employees for travel or other activities.
Many other employees utilize the refreshment leave in combination with regular paid leave as an opportunity for self-improvement by heading overseas for short-term study or acquiring high level qualifications.

Continuous Service Leave (Refreshment Leave)
Reduced or Staggered Working Hours

It is possible for employees to change the hours they work depending on their personal circumstances, such as childcare or nursing duties.
Rather than setting a single rule for the whole group, employees are in general permitted to continue to utilize reduced working hours for childcare in units of one hour, depending on their personal circumstances, until their children graduate from elementary school.

Reduced or Staggered Working Hours
Paid Leave by the Hour

This program enables employees to utilize up to a total of five days per year out of their annual paid leave in portions as short as one hour.

Paid Leave by the Hour
Secondary Employment

DIGITAL HOLDINGS permits employees to seek secondary work, conditional upon prior application.
By choosing secondary work in different industries with different business models, employees are able to learn knowledge and expertise that they would be unable to acquire at DIGITAL HOLDINGS. The opportunity to work together with different people, with whom they would not be able to associate in the course of their regular duties, also supports employees to grow.

Secondary Employment
Free Breakfast

DIGITAL HOLDINGS provides employees with free breakfast every morning, consisting of rice balls, miso soup, and fruit granola, with the aim of promoting a morning-oriented work style (to enhance employee health and productivity).
This program is popular among employees living alone, and those who like to start work early.
It helps employees to utilize their morning time more meaningfully.

It also supports self-improvement, with initiatives such as a proprietary library.

Free-address Offices

DIGITAL HOLDINGS has introduced a “free-address” system where seating is not designated, and employees are free to work from any desk, with the aim of enhancing operational productivity by allowing employees to move seats freely as necessary for work such as inter-divisional projects.
Personal items are not placed on desks, but kept in lockers.
